Abstract:
This article made the research on the cellular steel frame aseismic performance through a low cyclic loading test. The stress process and failure modes, hysteresis curve, skeleton curves, stiffness degradation, ductility and other behavior of the framework under earthquake effects were analyzed. The results showed that the cellular frame had a good aseismic capacity, and structural damage characteristics were mainly embodied in cellular beams, and the position of plastic hinges on the beam could be controlled through the weaken beam webs, which made the biggest plastic zone move to the weaken place of the beam and reduced the corner of beam-column joint areas as well as could avoid brittle fracture of the beam-column weld and improved the ductility of a steel framed structure.
