A FRACTURE CRITERION BASED ON THE DEVIATOR STRAIN ENERGY DENSITY FACTOR

  • 摘要: 将形状改变比能密度因子Sd用于建立复合型裂纹的断裂准则.该准则表明了裂纹在金属材料里的扩展过程中,起决定作用的是形状改变比能,而不是整个应变能.作为应用举例,它成功地预测了Ⅰ-Ⅱ复合型裂纹的开裂角和临界荷载,其结果与现有公开文献提供的一些理论结果和实验数据取得了较好的一致.

     

    Abstract: The deviator strain energy density factor Sd is considered here as a fracture criterion for mixed-mode fracture.The criterion implies that the deviator strain energy plays a vital role during the crack propagation of metal materials,while the whole strain energy does not.Examples are provided to illustrate the application of the new criterion.The Ⅰ-Ⅱ mixed-mode crack initiation angle and the critical load are predicted successfully.The results gained using the present approach agree well with theoretical results and experimental data in the open literature.
