Abstract: In this paper, author taking the horizontal tunnel with circle section as an example, has explored theoretically the relation between the dimension of the calculated model on which we analyse the stress of the surrounding rock by finite element method and the calculating accurlating, and given the simple anb convvenient calculating formulas, providing reference basis for engineering besign.
