Abstract: Indirect boundary element method is difficuh to be applied in practical problem with internal region in virtue of its low accuracy.Considering that the effect of rigid body movements and rotations is necessary to be removed in indirect BE M analysis,the paper suggests a correction,the main point of which is treating the rigid body movements and rotations as the unknown quantities and increasing the additional equations of static equilibrium of fictitious tractions. The conclusion that the suggested method can get correct solution is described theoretically and proved practically by numerical examples.
