Abstract: Results of analysis reveal that the solution for the displacement at zero-mass point by using the conventional method of mode-superposition is not correct. In order to solve the problem, this paper presents the modified method of mode-superposition, by which we can reach the accurate solution. Furthermore, the strict theoretical testification of the modified mothod is given in this paper.
