Abstract: Structural static design, model correction and optimization etc. are considered as the inverse matrix eigenvalue problem. It is the most important task for the inverse problem to compute the sensitivities of eigenvalues and eigenvectors with respect to the design parameters.In this paper, a complete set of sensitivity expressions has been redefined based on the complex variables theory. These expressions have solid mathematical foundation and a numerical example is given.
