Abstract: High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is a new kind of engineering material This paper is concerned with the analysis of the strength and stiffness of HDPE welded tanks. The results of both analytical method and finite element method are in good agrement It is believed that the present results may offer useful guidelines for designers and analysts.
