Abstract: Differential equations of free/forced vibrations of stepped beams under axial loads are established and the general solutions are obtained, The vibration mode function and frequency equations on usual supports are also derived, Influence functions for various cases are discussed in detail, It is found that frequencies of beams are influenced by axial force.
