BENDING-COLLAPSE BEHAVIOR OF AN INFLATATED CIRCULAR-CYLINDRICAL CANTILEVER BEAM

  • 摘要: 基于Euler -Bernoulli梁模型,考虑了充气悬臂梁在弯曲载荷作用下弯曲轴力、自由端端板承受的压力、弯曲剪力及环向张紧力的综合效应,并从材料承载特性出发,认为应用“最小主应力为零”作为充气悬臂梁的起皱判据更为合理,并在此基础上推导得到了起皱角与弯矩的解析关系式。此关系式能实现两个重要的应用:1) 计算充气悬臂梁的临界起皱载荷和整体失效载荷;2) 划定起皱区范围及分析起皱区的扩展趋势。结合一个实际试验模型,开展了算例对比研究,获得了一些有价值的结论:结构的整体失效对应于起皱角与弯矩的关系曲线出现奇异处,而非起皱区完全扩展到整个横截面的时刻;依据最小主应力为零这一起皱判据所划定的起皱区边界线在弯曲对称面内的投影呈曲线分布而非直线。通过实验测试证实,分析计算结果与实验测试结果基本吻合。

     

    Abstract: Considering the shortcomings of theories proposed previously about inflatable structures, an analytical relation between a wrinkling angle and a bending load is derived from a more reasonable wrinkling criterion that wrinkles are going to occur while the minor principal stress approaches to zero in an Euler-Bernoulli beam model. It is of importance to apply the relation to calculate its critical wrinkled load and collapse load. Further more, the range of the wrinkled region also can be sketched and used to predict the wrinkling tendency. Based on the computed example, we can draw some distinct conclusions: the collapse takes place at the odd point of the relation curve between the wrinkling angle and bending moment before the wrinkled region completely propagates around the circumference of the root cross-section; the projection of the sketched critical wrinkled boundary in the symmetrical plane is a curve but not a straight line. These calculation results keep a good consistency with the experiments which have been carried out.
