ALONG-WIND EQUIVALENT STATIC LOAD OF HIGH-RISE BUILDINGS

  • The mode-acceleration method is applied to analyze the random internal force responses of buildings induced by along-wind. The frequency domain solution in terms of restoring forces consists of quasi-static item and inertia item. A new along-wind static equivalent load based on internal forces is deduced accordingly. Its precision and validity are investigated through a comparison with other equivalent static load methods. The proposed method has the advantages of convenient calculation, high precision, and wide application.
