PRELIMINARY STUDY ON INTEGRATED ANALYSIS OF DEEPWATER SCR AND SPAR

The Deepwater SCR and Spar are treated as a whole coupled nonlinearly, and integrated analysis is performed. Coupled dynamic analysis in time domain is carried out using the integrated analysis procedure V-CABLE3D that is developed based on the cable dynamic analysis program CABLE3D. In the paper, motion response and dynamics of SCR are calculated by the use of both uncoupled and integrated analysis in time domain, considering the influence of Spar. Results are compared and plotted, which will provide reference for SCR designing.
