STABILITY OF MONOSYMMETRIC I-SECTION CANTILEVERS

  • There is a shortage of information on the flexural-torsional buckling of monosymmetric I-section cantilevers, both in theoretical study and experimental investigations. In this paper, the analysis on the stability of monosymmetric I-section cantilevers has been made to assist the practice use. The loading considered is end concentrated load applied on the top flange or on the bottom flange. On the basis of finite-element calculations, the analysis has been made to obtain the proposed equations of equivalent moment parameter , stability parameter and inelastic stability parameter .
