THE STATE-OF-THE-ART ON DURABILITY AND LIFE-CYCLE DESIGN THEORY OF ENGINEERING STRUCTURES

From the research scope, the strategic position and target of the durability and life-cycle design theory of engineering structures, this paper firstly introduces the recent research progress and forecasts the trend of its development, and then points out some important frontier scientific problems which remain to be deeply studied. Secondly, the key analysis of strategy research and preferential financing issues come up during the next 10 years. Finally, some suggestions on the researcher training and discipline development of the view point are proposed.
