THE INFLUENCING FACTOR ANALYSIS OF REBOUND EFFECT FOR PROTECTIVE DOORS SUBJECTED TO BLAST LOADING

  • The rebound effect could occur in protective doors under the blast loading of a conventional weapon, which results in a high rebound force in the opposite direction. The hinge and latch would be destroyed prior to the damage of the door body if the rebound force were high enough. The exact analytical formulas of the rebound force for protective doors are derived. All factors are analyzed including the side-length ratio, duration, damping ratio, loading style and negative phase of a blast loading, etc. It is demonstrated that the peak value of a positive and negative shear force for protective doors are gradually reduced with the increases of the side-length ratio; the role of a damping ratio and the negative phase of a blast loading to a positive shear force are very limited and the relevant effect even could be ignored, but there is the obvious effect on the negative shear force; the influence of an exponential blast loading on the peak value of both the positive and negative shear forces can be found to a certain extent.
