  • In this paper, a reduced model of a complex structure is obtained though a model reduction method based on deformation modification, then an optimization model based on variable decomposition is established, in which the structural fundamental frequency is maximized. The examples show the validity of this method. The method is compared with the response surface method-based structural optimization approach. The advantage and disadvantage differences of these two models are analyzed briefly.
