Abstract
A Spline-subdomain method for analysis of vibration of tall frames and frame-shear wall structures is proposed in this paper, based on idealizing the frames as an anisotropic continuous wall, subdivising the structure into a certain number of subdomains and taking cubic spline function as the displacement function. The stiffness and mass matrics obtained are positively determined symmetrical banding matrics, which are mode-decoupled.
