Equilibrium and Buckling of Combined Shells under Uniform External Pressure

Nonlinear strain is used to formulate the energy functional of combined structure with various shells. The nonlinear finite element method is proposed for calculating the bending and buckling of the combined structure under uniform external pressure. The numerical computation results are found to be in good agreement with experimental ones.
