SIMPLIFIED METHOD OF CALCULATING VIBRATION PERIOD, SEISMIC STRESS, SIDE DISPLACEMENT OF SHEAR-WALLEAD TALL BUILDING WITH GRAND HALL SPACE AT GROUND FLOOR

  • The author, based on his previous paper "Method of Rigid Frame Analogy" fries to further develop the adopion of "improved energy method" to calculali basic vibration period of ohear-walled Tall building structure with grand hall space at ground floor. Then, by use of analised result of calculated stress, side displacement produced by the supposed horizontal force, during the procedure of calculating vibration period, to multiply a conversion coefficient, a result of actual seismic stress and side-displacement will be obtoined. This method is easy and simple to handle, particularly adatable to manual calculation work,and also can be used as abase for formulation of programmes for micro-computer.
