A Hybrid_stress Element to Aaalysis of Composite Laminates

  • In this paper, a triangle hybrid-stress elements which isbased on the mordified complemetary energy principle is presen ted for the analysis of composite laminates.This elements has three nodes and is able to consider transverse shear effects andlocal warping effects.Three translational and two rotational degrees of freedom are chosen, at each node.The element is applied to dynamic analysis of several laminates in the paper. Numerical results are presented to compare with the closed form solutions. It is obvious that the element has good numerical results for colculations and is simple for applications.
