CALCULATION OF THE DYNAMIC RESPONSE OF BLAST-RESISTANT SHAFT STRUCTURE

  • In this paper, an analytical method is presented for calculation of the dy-namic response of shaft structure subjected to shock waves. The upper end of the shaft is on the level of ground. The problem is then reduced to studying the forced vibration of an finite, moderatethick circular cylindrical shell, sub-jected to moving surface load, medium resistance as well as time-dependent bo-undary conditions. The resistance is calculated by Winkler theory. The genera-lized coordinates are obtained by Duhamel's integral. In numerical examples, the results are compared with the results without taking account of interaction.
