AN ITERATION METHOD FOR COOPERATION OF FRAME AND SHEAR WALL

  • In this paper,an lteration formulation is derived by force method for the drift of storey,the angle of rotation of shear wall at storey,the end moment of the beam and the shear of storey under horizonal loads.As the correction of initial value in iteration is used,the convergence of iteration can be ensured.Especidlly for the frame-shear wall system with rigid shear wall,the iteration converges more rapidly.In general,the accuracy needed in engineering can be obtained in only three or four iterations. The method given in this paper has mechanical steps and convenience in calculation.Some questions in the differential equation method,which are arisen by the assumptios about the continuity of the beam,can be solved.
