  • In this paper the boundary element method based on stress for solving plane thermoelastic problems is proposed.Using the basic equation of a plane thermoelastic problem and the stress method,the derivation of boun-dary integral equations and the single-valued conditions for the displace-ments are briefly mentioned,It is suitable for stress boundary problems. The numerical results are obtained for the calculation of thermal stress in the circlar region and the circular region with an eccentric circular hole, This method can be further extended to the plane bending problems as well.
