Abstract

The conceptien ot optimum design for hybrid stress elements is extended to 3-D problems in thin this paper,The optimal formulas of three-dimensional isoparametrie hybsid tress element are derived, and explicitstress patterns with 18β are offered. Saveral numerical examples are given and a comparison is made with the reeults of Atlusi et al.
