NON-LINEAR STABILITY VERIFICATION OF SHALLOW ARCHES

The non-linear stability problem occurred in the interior steel sheet of a steel-concrete composite bored shaft lining in coal mines is discussed. The "bulge" phenomenon of steel sheet appearing repeatedly in domestic engineering practices is explained in this paper. The formulae for non-linear stability have been derived and computer programs developed with 6 representative numerical examples being introduced.
