ON THE FATIGUE NOTCH FACTOR K_f

Abstract

In this paper, the definition and some expressions of fatigue notch factor K_f are briefly reviewed. A new expression of K_f is developed based on the fatigue damage mechanism.Some experimental results are analysed using the expression developed in the paper.It is shown that the predicted results are satisfactory.
