THE INFLUENCE OF SIZE ON MEASURING THE SPECIFIC FRACTURE ENERGY OF AAC

  • In this paper the wedge-splitting specimens recommended by RILEM are used to determine the specific fracture energy Gf of AAC. The influence of the specimen's size is investigated and analyzed with the theory in fracture mechanics.According to the data such a conclusion can be drawn that if the specimen is thicker than 200mm and the ligament is higher than 130mm, the influence of size is negligible.
