RIGID BODY-INTERFACE ELEMENT METHOD IN DYNAMIC PLASTICITY

  • The theory of the Rigid Body-Interface Element Method is studied in this paper, which can be used to solve the 2D dynamic elasto-plastic problems.Based on the function of displacement field of rigid mode, the fundamental dynamic equations of the system are derived from the fundamental differential equations and their equivalent integration equations for continuous media. With the adoption of the simplified stress vector in plastic flow rule, an elasto-plastic constitutive model for interface elements is proposed.
