RESEARCH ON MULTIMEDIA SIMULATION ENVIRONMENT FOR WIND-INDUCED TALL BUILDING

A Multimedia Simulation(MS) environment for wind-driven tall building was presented in this paper. MS system is different from traditional simulation system in the sense that the user can work with a fully simulated, animated, multimedia demonstration of what will occur on the proposed works. The MS system is an improvement in the means of model expanding, parameter inputing, behavior controling and displaying etc. The concept of multimedia simulation and corresponding environment were introduced. Special attention was focused on the main technologies and basic tools to build this environment. The system can be used to simulate the engineering mechanics field, structure behaviors and other related fields animatedly.
