QR-METHOD FOR GEOMETRICALLY NONLINEAR ANALYSIS OF TALL BUILDING STRUCTURES

  • in this paper, QR-method for geometrically nonlinear analysis of tall building structures is presented. This method has great advantages over the finite element method and the finite strip method. The main advantages of this method are fewer number of unknowns, simple program, fewer input datum, short computing time, low storage, higher accuracy and wide applicability, and it can easily be carried out on a microcomputer to solve the complex large problems.Therefore, QR-method is an effectual and economic method for analysis of tall building structures.
