THE PARTICLE TRAJECTORY MODEL AND ITS SIMULATION IN COMPOSITE PARTICLE BEDS

Abstract
On the basis of a gun with a composite charge structure including particle and tubular propellants, a particle trajectory model was established. The gas field was described by Eulerian system, whereas the propellant particles were described by the Lagrangian approach. The interaction between the two phases were expressed in the source terms. The numerical results are consistent with the experimental data.
