GEOMETRIC NONLINEAR ANALYSIS FOR LAMINATED SHELLS OF REVOLUTION SUBJECTED TO AXISYMMETRIC LOAN

  • In this paper, a modified two-dimensional isoparametric element for curved thick shell is proposed based on reference 1. Using the element, geometric nonlinear analysis of laminated composite shells of revolution subjected to axisymmetric load is conducted. Numerical examples show that the element is efficient and valid for both thin and thick shells.
