ON BENDING OF DISCONTINUOUS REISSNER PLATE

  • In this paper, a study on bending of Reissuer plate under discontinuous geometric, boundary, and loading conditions is made by using the method of subdomain weighted residuals. The basic idea of the method is to divide the whole variable domain into several continuous subdomains according to the continuity of structure and loads, and to apply the method for every subdomain with various trial function. The residuals including internal, boundary and compatibility conditions are eliminated by the least squares method. Numerical examples show that the method is convergent and accurate.
