  • In this paper, a rectangular plate bending element with 12 degrees of freedom is presented based upon unit width finite strip in length and breadth. The C1 continuity condition is sandied at the element boundary. The element is characterized by less degrees of freedom and high accuracy. It is suitable for the computation of lop plate structures.
