COUPLED ANALYSIS OF VISCOELASTICITY STRESS FIELD AND SEEPAGE FIELD OF THE THREE GORGES DAM'S FOUNDATION

  • According to the actual situation of the foundation of the Three Gorges dam, a coupled analysis model of viscoelasticity stress field and seepage field was proposed for the bedrock, and the simulating analysis of excavation was carried out. In the analysis the Burgers model is used to simulate the viscoelasticity creep characteristic of bedrock, and the permeability coefficients of the rock masses are assumed to vary as exponent functions of the stress. It is shown that the effect of seepage field is pronounced.
