GENERATION OF GRADED QUADRILATERAL MESHES FOR ARBITRARY PLANAR DOMAINS

  • Generation of graded quadrilateral meshes for arbitrary planar domains is discussed in this paper. A graded triangular mesh is first generated The combination of triangles is then carried out to form quadrangles. Each quadrangle is divied into four smaller ones while the remaining triangles are partitioned into three smaller quadrangles. In doing so, a smooth graded quadrilateral mesh is generated.
