THE DYNAMIC RESPONSE ANALYSIS OF SPHERICAL EXPLOSION-CONTAINMENT VESSELS

  • The reflected shock pressures on the inner wall of the spherical explosion-containment vessels are calculated by the Eulerian method in the DYTRAN code. The vessel's dynamic response under the reflected shock pressures is analyzed and simulated by an analytical method and the LS-DYNA finite element code. The effective stress history and the effective stress cloud charts of the vessel are obtained. The present method and the results may offer useful guidelines for similar vessel strength design and safe operations.
