A CREEP DAMAGE ANALYSIS OF BEAMS UNDER PURE BENDING

  • This paper is concerned with the evolution equations of creep damage beams under pure bending. The reduction of moment of inertia is defined as the bending damage variable. The material constants of the equations are determined by Kachanov's tensile damage model. The nature of creep damage failure of beams is discussed in details. For the convenience of failure prediction in engineering, the evolution equation of bending damage variable is simplified.
