CREEP ANALYSIS OF ECCENTRICALLY COMPRESSED CONCRETE FILLED STEEL TUBULAR MEMBERS

  • In this paper, a new method is developed to study the creep behavior of Concrete Filled Steel Tubular (CFST) members under eccentric compression. The Elastic Continuation and Plastic Flow material model and the creep theory of concrete under multi-axial stresses are taken into account in the present method. Both the characteristics of core concrete under multi-axial stresses and the influential factors to creep of CFST members are considered. An iterative procedure is given for computing the creep of CFST members. In comparison with experimental data, the present method is shown to be reasonable and reliable.
