  • The quadratic time-frequency distribution and Hilbert transform is used to analyze the non-linear dynamic characteristics of a type of twisting silicon-oil damper. The damping coefficient and the twisting stiffness are determined. It is shown that the present method is robust and noiseproof as well as effort-saving.
