A NEW FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS METHOD FOR FUZZY STRUCTURES

  • In this paper, a new finite element analysis method for fuzzy structures is proposed based on the information entropy concept. With this method, the fuzzy variables can be transferred into random variables so that the fuzzy structures can be treated as random structures. When the random variables transferred from fuzzy structures are small, the perturbation finite element method can be used to obtain the mean values and the variances of the structural responses.
