  • The methods for the analysis and control of cracking in reinforced concrete are discussed. The following four portions are included: 1) cracking in reinforced concrete – a natural disaster that is not avoidable but can be alleviated; 2) analysis and control of shrinkage induced cracking 3) analysis and control of thermal stress induced cracking 4) comprehensive control methodologies for cracking. The cracking mechanism and the corresponding control strategies are inclusively analyzed with more than 100 references.
