  • Structural experiments and real-time monitoring is becoming larger and more complex. Data acquisition system are required to keep up with the expanding demands. Civil Engineering Department of Tsinghua University has developed a data acquisition system-Impdas which is applicable to all kinds of engineering experiments and structure monitoring. This system can deal with a large quantity of measurement points, and high speed is also one of its merits. The system can not only record data automatically, but also integrate and manage the recorded data. It feeds back all necessary information consecutively. In this paper, the computers usage in data acquisition and data management in large-scale structural experiments and monitoring is discussed.
