AN ANALYTICAL MODEL FOR SPATIAL VIBRATION ANALYSIS OF SIMPLY-SUPPORTED MULTI-SPAN FOLDED GIRDER BRIDGES WITH CURVE TRACK

  • This paper presents an analytical model for spatial vibration analysis of the folded girder bridges with curve track. A beam segment element with 20 degrees of freedom is adopted to consider the flexural deformation, free torsion and restraint torsion of T-shaped beams. The orthogonal deformation coordinate system is selected to formulate the dynamic characteristic matrix of the folded girder bridges with curve track. The proposed model of the bridge is very suitable for spatial vibration analysis of both girder bridges with curve track and trains. In an given example the spatial vibration responses are calculated when the speed-increased train runs over the girder bridges of 32 meter span with curve track to test if the bridges have sufficient rigidity and the operation stability is fine.
