THE DYNAMIC RESPONSE OF FRP-RC FRAMES

  • A theoretical analysis of the dynamic response of FRP-RC beam and frame structures is performed in this paper. Bending and shear stiffness of carbon fiber wrapping concrete beams are obtained from the non-classical theory. ANSYS software is used to analyze the dynamic response of the structures. A single beam and a single-layer and single-span frame are taken as examples and the results are compared to those obtained from ANSYS 3D analysis. It is clearly demonstrated that the method used in the present research is much more convenient and highly efficient.
