Abstract
In this paper, a new theoretical micro-mechanical model for analysis of hooked steel fibers is developed to predict the rational pullout load versus fiber end slip relationship. The mechanism of plastic bending of fiber and the additional frictional bond due to bending as well as the damageable deformations of matrix are taken into account. A good agreement between the predictive and experimental results confirms the validation of this model.
