MODEL TEST STUDY ON CONCRETE FILLED STEEL-TUBE TRUSS ARCH BRIDGE

  • Chunan Nanpu Bridge is a concrete filled steel-tube half-tied through-arch bridge. The span is 308 meters and the widthto span ratio is small. The stability of arch ribs is of major bridge safety concern. In this paper, the global model test process of Nanpu Bridge is introduced, including design of test model, loading system, main results of the test. The educed conclusion is believed to be useful for reference in design and construction.
