RESEARCH PROGRESS ON MODAL PARAMETER IDENTIFICATION AND DAMAGE DIAGNOSIS FOR OFFSHORE PLATFORM STRUCTURES

  • This paper reviews the state-of-the-art research progress on the modal parameters identification and damage diagnosis for offshore platform structures. The technology of damage detection based on the dynamic responses is summarized. Then, the new progress in the field of the health monitoring for offshore platform structures is introduced. Finally, some key problems of offshore platform damage diagnosis are discussed. Some specific research issues of damage diagnosis technology for offshore engineering structures are addressed.
