  • Based on Reddy's higher-order shear deformable plate theory and general von Kármán-type equations, analytical solutions of free vibration and dynamic response of simply supported functionally graded plates subjected to transverse dynamic loads and thermal effects are presented using double Fourier series. Heat conduction and temperature-dependent material properties are both taken into account. Effects of volume fraction index and thermal environments on natural frequencies and dynamic response are also studied.
