NUMERICAL SIMULATION AND TEST INVESTIGATION OF WIND PRESSURES ON ROOF OF JINGGANGSHAN AIRPORT BUILDING

  • Numerical simulation is carried out to predict wind-induced pressures on the roof of Jinggangshan Airport Building. A boundary layer wind tunnel test is also conducted to measure the induced pressures. The simulation is based on the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations and the standard k-ε turbulence enclosure model is used. The performance of the numerical procedure is evaluated by comparing the predicted wind pressure coefficients with the wind tunnel test results. It is found that the numerical simulation well captures the physical trends of wind pressure distribution and overall good agreement is reached between the computed wind pressure coefficients and the corresponding test results.
