ASYMPTOTIC HOMOGENIZATION OF VISCOELASTIC COMPOSITES

Abstract
The problem of viscoelastic composites is studied. The matrix is assumed to be linear, viscoelastic and isotropic, and the fiber is assumed to be linear elastic and isotropic. Based on the asymptotic homogenization of linear elastic multilayered media, the correspondence principle in viscoelasticity is applied. The problem in the Carson domain is solved and the formulas of the relaxation functions of a kind of unidirectional reinforced composites are obtained using the homogenization method twice. The inversion to the time domain of the effective relaxation moduli of this kind of composites is carried out. Comparisons with other results are made.
